Mechanics 1935. Bronze pedestal mounted cylinder, tuning fork con rod. Iron/wood
base 235mm long, ¾" bore, 11/8"

Horizontal
Mill Engine. An interesting model of some
age with pedestal mounted cast iron cylinder (slide valve), 1" bore,
1.5" stroke. The cross head is supported on cast iron slipper guides.
The con rod is attached to the disc crank via gib and cotter big ends, 6
spoke cast iron flywheel (5.5" diameter). Cast base supported on 4
turned pillars. Has been run on air. Height 150mm, width 175mm, length 425mm,
weight 8.6kg |
