Gauge 0-4-0 Side Tank Loco. This engine
has lain unused for a number of years and requires some maintenance. The
general construction is good and shows signs of significant running. The
paint is well worn and totally missing from the cab. The boiler is copper
but we have been unable to test it due to a seized regulator (may free off
on first steaming) and leaking snifting valve pipe, but appears silver soldered.
The pressure gauge pipe also leaks at the fitting. The loco has run on air
and has a nice beat. Fittings include water gauge, hand pump, twin axle
pump, blower, super heater, oil pump and drain cocks. The cab and one running
board is loose, a handrail knob is missing as is one cylinder drain pipe.
An ideal loco for a beginner or junior member. |
